February 26th, 2019 marked the 100 year anniversary of Grand Canyon National Park. My friends and I were fortunate enough to spend 27 days rafting the canyon during the centennial and found sanctuary, joy, and renewed commitment to continue to help protect this treasure of the American West. I hope these photos celebrate the glory of spending time in the Canyon, and remind your readers that we Americans are blessed to have these lands. We owe a huge debt to those who had the foresight to protect these lands 100 years ago, and we should commemorate this milestone, even as we fight for their continued survival.
